Vaginal Birth After Caesarean, Caerphilly, South Wales

Published by Samantha on

I approached Sam to be my doula after I discovered that due to having had a previous caesarean, I wouldn’t be able to give birth in my place of choice.

I was distraught and terrified of a medicalised hospital birth, particularly after hearing horror stories from other VBAC hopefuls. Sam gave me the support and courage to write a birth plan that would help me get the birth I wanted.

My birth plan changed considerably through my pregnancy, from hospital birth to home birth, and eventually to planned caesarean birth.

Sam stood by me through each decision, helping me research and work out exactly what I wanted.
